VICTOR PLAVITU is a New York-based interdisciplinary artist specializing in graphic design, photography, video, and mixed media. Born in Romania, he is part of a first-generation immigrant family that moved to New York City in the late 90s. Plavitu's art explores themes of time, place, and memory influenced by his dual Romanian-American nationality.

His work has been included in group exhibitions at CUNY City College of New York. Plavitu earned a BFA in Design from Queens College in 2018 and an MFA in Digital and Interdisciplinary Art Practice from City College in 2022, receiving multiple awards.

He is currently an adjunct professor at City College of New York, teaching Typography and Graphic Design Concepts, and recently completed a postgraduate certification in Art Education at Queens College. Plavitu also holds certifications from the New York State Department of Education in Career & Technical Education for Commercial Art and Visual Arts. In addition to his teaching at the college level, he has participated in teaching fellowships and fieldwork across various NYC public schools.
